3D Areola & Nipple Reconstruction Tattoo

What is 3D Areola & Nipple Tattoo?

3D Areola and nipple tattoo is a paramedical tattooing procedure that can completely reconstruct your areola and nipple, giving the “illusion of protrusion” using light and shadow.

It can also restore colour and shape to already-existing areola, post-surgery or simply due to loss of pigment over time, or trauma to the chest area.

How Does it Work?

The 3D effect is accomplished using both light and shadows. Additional dimension, or what I like to call “personality”, is done by mimicking wrinkles and the natural constriction around the nipple area, as well as adding little bumps, technically called the Montgomery Glands.

The shape, contours and colours chosen are customized to match each individual’s skin tone; and the level of “personality” added, is also customized to each and every person, in alignment with their personal preferences.

Aftercare:

The first night after you’ve had your initial Areola Procedure, please remove your tegaderm bandage(s) around 9pm-10pm.

Get into the shower, and just allow the warm water to rinse the tattoo, or gently cleanse the area with water (if having a shower isn’t ideal).

When you get out of the shower, towel dry the breast not the tattoo. Let the ntattoo air dry for about 3 minutes (no longer). Make sure the breast skin is dry, then apply the new tegaderm/tegaderms.

Please do not cut them as they will need to last for a week. Wear the new tegaderm/tegaderms for an entire week.

You may shower with the tegaderms on but please do not submerge. No bathtubs, pools, hot-tubs, saunas, swimming, etc.

On the 6th night you may take your tegaderms off and get into the shower. Please wash your tattoo gently with a gentle soap using your hands.

When you get out of the shower, towel dry the breast then please sit topless for up to an hour, so that the tattoo can completely dry out. If you have any scabs still remaining, please do not pick them and allow them to fall off on their own. Use the healing ointment that was provided to you after bandage removal to help minimize the flaking and maximize the healing process.

Please do not use any type of lotion with harsh or anti-aging ingredients such as Vitamin C serums, hyaluronic acid, retinol, etc.

If you have any questions or concerns as you heal, please reach out to me. If you are worried you may have or be developing an infection, please see your family doctor and let me know immediately.

3D Areola tattoo can be a life-changing procedure, and a personal gift to any person of any and all genders who, not only have had to undergo breast removal due to cancer, but for anyone who has gone through chest surgery, whether that be for breast removal (top surgery), breast reduction/ augmentation, implants, scarring from surgery, burns to the area, significant weight loss, natural loss of pigmentation over time, or from trauma to the area.

How Many Treatments are Required?

To achieve optimal and longest lasting results, two sessions are required and will last for years.

However, as with all cosmetic tattooing procedures, fading will occur over time, and can vary from person to person.

*Touch ups are recommended as needed.
