Cleft lip correction

A cleft lip can leave behind visible scarring and asymmetry, even after surgical correction. Medical tattooing can play a crucial role in refining the appearance of the lip and restoring a more balanced and harmonious facial aesthetic.

Understanding the Challenge:

Despite surgical advancements, residual scarring, uneven lip borders, and pigment irregularities can remain after cleft lip repair.

The Solution:

My focus is on meticulous detail and natural enhancement:

  1. Lip Border Definition: I meticulously tattoo along the lip border, creating a crisp, defined edge that helps to correct any irregularities or asymmetry. I will also treat any surrounding visible scar tissue to revise and minimize textural and pigment inconsistencies outside of the lip.
  2. Color Correction and Blending: Pigments are carefully selected and blended to match the natural lip colour, camouflaging any discoloured scar tissue and creating a seamless transition.
  3. Symmetry Enhancement: Through precise application, I work to create the illusion of greater symmetry and balance in the lip shape, enhancing overall facial harmony.
